Art of the Mill will see around 100 graffiti and street artists take over the old Woodend Saw Mill and transform it into a vibrant work of art on the 27th and 28th February from 10am- 6pm, in conjunction with the Macedon Ranges Sustainable Living Festival 2016.
Artists include Adnate, KaffEine, Unwell Bunny, Dirty Bandits, Makatron, Heesco, Nicole Tattersall, Josh Smith, Stopem, 23rd Key, Silk Roy, Jack Douglas, Lucy Lucy, Kirpy, Ohnoes, Junky Projects, Marian Machismo, Liam Snootle, Chuck Mayfield, Facter, Eleven, GT Sewell, and many more!
The theme of the artwork produced will centre around sustainable living, the environment, and the local bush wildlife. Saturday 27th February will see live painting and music at the event, and panels of the works will be auctioned off from 11am-6pm.
20% of all sales will be donated to the Macedon Ranges Wildlife Network, which encompasses all self-funded local shelters that care for injured wildlife.
This exhibition has come about with the generous assistance of Alex McCulloch (Alex McCulloch Art) and Ken McGregor (Australian Street Art Festival), who have had a longstanding applied interest in envisaging this as an ideal site for the first major regional gallery in the Macedon Ranges.
Ariana Leane has taken the opportunity to use this site for the launch of her new venture – No Fixed Address Gallery.
